You pays youre money and you take your chances. I grew up in Dallas with tonados and 12" rains over night. I have talked myself into believing that I live on a relative stable portion of land here in earthquake county. Hard to beat Avocado tres in the back yard although I remeber the giant watermelons from your country.

After one visit to NOLA (2000), and I stood on that levee where I could see the relative levels of water on one side, and streets on the other, I realized ANY place other than there was a good place to live.
And they're puttin' it back...progressive thinkers indeed.
We do love our melons here, 'deed we do (he said with a toothless grin).
